Profile of the study program
Are you interested in mathematics and economics and would like to combine your expertise in both fields? Then our master's program "Mathematics in Business and Economics" is just right for you! Here you will learn mathematical methods and competencies that are specifically geared towards the requirements in business.
Our program provides you with in-depth skills, with particular emphasis on the areas of stochastics (e.g. statistics, financial mathematics and actuarial mathematics) and optimization (especially discrete and continuous optimization). The contents of the mathematical elective lectures are coordinated with the contents of the lectures in the minor subject, whereby you can choose from introductory and advanced lectures in business administration or economics. Within the framework of an optional professional internship, you will have the opportunity to apply your acquired theoretical knowledge in practice and to gain valuable experience.

Curriculum
In the Master's degree, modules with a minimum of 66 credit points must be selected.
At least 24 credit points must be selected from the major N (minor subject Business and Economics) and 42 credit points from the major M (Mathematics). In addition, you have the option to participate in an internship of four or eight weeks as part of your studies.
