IMS2017 - Itinerant Magnetism and Superconductivity, Sept 28-29, 2017, Dresden, Germany
The aim of this two day international workshop is to exchange and discuss recent advances in the research on itinerant magnetism and superconductivity. It brings together leading experts as well as young researchers working in the field of iron-based superconductors, unconventional superconductivity in general, topological phases in magnets and superconductors and unconventional density waves.
This workshop is supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) through the Research Training Group “Itinerant magnetism and superconductivity in intermetallic compounds”. In this research training group, more than 20 Ph.D. students and 20 young as well as experienced researchers from experimental and theoretical physics and chemistry are joint in a coordinated initiative to advance science in this exciting field.
The venue of the workshop is the Steigenberger Hotel on the Neumarkt, right in the heart of the historical Dresden center, next to the Frauenkirche and close to the Palace of the former Saxonian kings (https://www.steigenberger.com/hotels/alle-hotels/deutschland/dresden/steigenberger-hotel-de-saxe).
