2026-GirlsDay
Girls’ Day - “Physics is more than just formulas”
Under this theme, seven female students gained exciting insights into experimental work in the lab. Under expert guidance, they were able to get hands-on and explore various physical phenomena.
The program included experiments with helium and liquid nitrogen, which impressively demonstrated how materials behave at extremely low temperatures. Manual dexterity was also required: The participants were allowed to solder, gaining their first experience working with electronic components. Another highlight was working with vacuum technology, during which the students learned how air pressure and vacuum are used in research.
The project day offered not only exciting experiments but also the opportunity to ask questions and get a glimpse into everyday life in physics. The goal of Girls’ Day is to inspire young women to pursue careers in science and technology—a goal that was pursued with great curiosity and enthusiasm on this day.
