Molecular engineering in low-dimensional perovskites
Hybrid organic–inorganic lead halide perovskites display very intersting optical and electronic properties. Especially, the ability to fine-tune the lattice structure by the organic component allows for obtaining a various low-dimensional quantum materials. In this work, we discovered a series of low-dimensional hybrid organic–inorganic perovskites and and investigated their lattice structures and electronic properties. More specifically, we investigated organic–inorganic hybrids containing naphthalenes as organic component, which in turn stabilize different 1D and 2D inorganic networks. A facinating route towards novel low-dimensional electron systems and new states of matter.
