Studying at the IFMP
We teach students at all levels and take part in all physics degree programs. This includes basic physics lectures, specialized lectures within our masters course program, as well as various lab courses.
When joining our research team as a bachelor or master student you will get involved in modern solid state and materials research. This is an extremely dynamic and fascinating field of work, which is indeed very relevant to the important challenges our society is facing today. Topics range from fundamental and presently unsolved puzzles of solid state physics to more applied research on materials relevant to energy storage, energy conversion or information technology. You can also get in touch with novel approaches to data analysis. For example employ machine learning algorithms to extract relevant information from large data sets.
Since we work in small groups, you stay always in close contact with your supervisor and - most of all - your work can really make a difference!
