Diversity-Sensitive Teaching Award 2025 for Charlotte Bäcker
Congratulations to Charlotte Bäcker, ph.D. student in our group, on the Best Practice Diversity-Sensitive Teaching Award 2025 for the
Exercise in Theoretical Mechanics (summer 2024)
The "Exercise in Theoretical Mechanics" particularly addresses and empowers FLINTA* people (women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people) and thus underrepresented groups in STEM subjects. The consideration of diversity aspects in a low-threshold range of courses is a role model for these degree programs in particular.
This prize is awarded to teaching staff and teaching concepts that deal with diversity in an outstanding way in line with the TUD's 2030 Diversity Strategy. The award not only recognizes the commitment to diverse and inclusive university teaching, but also underlines the high relevance of diversity-sensitive approaches in the context of excellent teaching.
