Dr. Franziska Korb

Short Profile

Franziska studied at the University of Leipzig where she both obtained her Diploma (2004) and her Doctoral Degree (Dr. rer. nat., 2008). Both theses are based on experimental studies conducted at the Max Planck Institute for Cognitive and Brain Sciences where she worked from 1999-2009. In 2010 Franziska started as a Postdoc in Tobias Egner’s Cogitive Control Lab at Duke University (Durham NC, USA). She moved back to Germany to start a Research/Lecturer position at Shu-Chen Li’s chair of Lifespan Developmental Neuroscience in 2013. Two years and on child later she returned to her roots in Experimental Psychology and has been working at Thomas Goschke's chair of General Psychology since. Besides research and teaching there, she is also an active member of the A6 and A10 projects of the  CRC "Volition and Cognitive Control" (SFB 940). Furthermore, Franziska is a member of the Open Science Initiative of the Faculty of Psychology.
