Short biography:
Linda Hilla completed a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Potsdam and a Master's degree in Psychology with Focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the TUD Dresden University of Technology. During her Master's degree, she developed the online-based self-help training program "My Irritable Bowel" for people with irritable bowel syndrome and piloted it as part of her Master's thesis. Since fall 2020, she has been in postgraduate training as a psychological psychotherapist and is employed as a Research Associate at the Chair of Behavioral Epidemiology. Until March 2023, she worked on the "PENELOPE" project, which aimed to promote the mental health and capabilities of nurses. Her work in this project focused on the development and evaluation of an online-based training program for relaxation in everyday working life (or applied relaxation). Since September 2023, she has received the ESF PLUS Landesinnovations-Promotionsstipendium to complete her doctorate entitled "Innovative e-health interventions for health promotion: Investigation of target group-specific risk factor modification and empirical evaluation of an online training program for irritable bowel syndrome sufferers", which is expected to run until March 2027. To this end, she is revising her self-developed training course"My Irritable Bowel" for people with irritable bowel syndrome and is conducting a randomized controlled study to investigate the effectiveness of the online training.
