Learn more about the Chair
With the appointment of Prof. Dr. Katja Beesdo-Baum, the Chair of Behavioural Epidemiology has been newly established in 2014 at TU Dresden.
Chair of Behavioural Epidemiology
The professorship was established in 2014 and initially (partially) financed by start-up funding from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the project "The epidemiology of functional and dysfunctional behavioral and psychological factors in mental health and disease" and subsequently made permanent by the TU Dresden. Within the framework of this project, the Behavior and Mind Health (BeMIND) study was conducted in a population sample of adolescents and young adults from Dresden, Germany, in order to gain new insights into the development of mental and behavioral disorders.
