Jana Ray has been an external PhD student in Prof. Dr. Zietlow's research group since 2021. In addition to her postgraduate training as a psychological psychotherapist, she is a research associate in the "Healthy Birth" project at the Mannheim Medical Faculty at University of Heidelberg. Her research focuses on maternal mental health, transgenerational transmission and prevention in the transition to parenthood.
Research Interests
- Transgenerational transmission of maternal mental health burden (traumatic childhood experiences, peripartum psychopathology) and its prevention
- Parental mental health and couple relationships during pregnancy and transition to parenthood and their impact on child development and parent-child relationships
- Psychobiological correlates of parental traumatic experiences and parent-child interaction
