Julia Ernst studied psychology at the Otto-Friedrich-University in Bamberg. After successfully completing her bachelor’s degree, she continued her studies at the Dresden University of Technology. During her studies she worked at the Chair of Behavioral Epidemiology, Institute of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy within the BeMIND-study (Behavior and Mind Health Study) and was mainly involved in an add-on project dealing with neural correlates and predictors of mental health and disease in adolescent and young adults. In spring 2019, she completed her Master’s degree in Psychology: Cognitive-Affective Neuroscience with a Master’s thesis on conflict processing in former methamphetamine abusers. Since April 2019 she works as a research assistant at the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Chair of Behavioral Epidemiology at the TU Dresden. She is part of the work group „Mental Health of Children and Adolescents“ and is involved in the project "Primary indicated and optimized allocation in emotional and behavioural problems in children" (PROMPt).
