Funding for the research network on affective disorders!

We are delighted that the German Research Foundation has approved the transregio research network “Progression of Affective Disorders: Cognitive-emotional mechanisms of symptom change”! Philipp Kanske and Katharina Förster are part of the network and are dedicated to various questions about affective disorders, individual symptom trajectories, and underlying mechanisms. To this end, patient data will be collected via smartphone over longer periods of time. Changes in symptoms, cognitive-emotional states, and stressors in everyday life can thus be recorded directly. In this way, the researchers from the TU Dresden, the universities in Marburg, and Münster hope to improve the prediction of disease progression and develop tailored therapies.
