Brief psychotherapeutic treatments as part of teaching
As a university outpatient clinic, we carry out brief psychotherapeutic treatments as part of teaching on the Master's degree course in Psychology with Focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy. In particular, we treat fears of certain situations such as exams, confined spaces, heights, injections, animals, but also stressful phases and resulting dejection.
The short treatment consists of 12 sessions of 50 minutes each and is carried out by a group of prospective psychotherapists in the Master's program. They each take on part of the treatment. Participating patients must therefore be open to discussing their concerns in a group and with different people. The treatment is supervised by experienced psychotherapists from the university outpatient clinic, who are available at all times. The treatment is not registered as psychotherapy with the health insurance and there are no treatment costs. If further treatment is required beyond the brief intervention, this can be seamlessly followed up with traditional individual psychotherapeutic treatment.
The brief treatment takes place every semester (summer semester: April to July, winter semester: October to January) at the following times:
- Mondays 11:20 - 12:10
- Mondays 15:00 - 15:50
- Tuesdays 11:20 - 12:10
- Tuesdays 15:00 - 15:50
If you are interested and can make at least one of the above times regularly, you can leave your contact details here:

We will get back to you to discuss further details and arrange appointments if necessary. As we can only offer six treatment slots per semester in this format, attendance is not guaranteed. In the event of acute problems or if the above times do not suit you, you can find a psychotherapist in your area via the emergency medical service (116117).
