Good Scientific Practice
Good scientific practice (GWP) includes basic principles such as working according to the recognized rules of the discipline, documenting the results in a comprehensible, verifiable and complete manner, consistently challenging all results, maintaining strict honesty with regard to the contributions of others, and adhering to ethical standards conducting the surveys and studies.
All members and all employees of the TU Dresden are obliged to follow the statutes for ensuring good scientific practice as the basis of their scientific work and to actively contribute to the avoidance of scientific misconduct within their sphere of activity.
At the Faculty of Psychology, contact persons are available for questions about GWP, who also offer subject-specific courses/workshops for master’s and doctoral students:
At the Faculty of Psychology, there are also confidants who serve as easily accessible contacts for young academics and, in particular, mediate in problematic situations.
The Graduate Academy of the TU Dresden also offers training courses on good scientific practice: Offers of the Graduate Academy
Further information and the corresponding guidelines can be found on the university's pages on good scientific practice.
