Information on Counseling, Continuing Education, and Funding

Graduate Academy of TU Dresden

In 2018, the Faculty Board of Psychology defined the following academic achievements as criteria equivalent to the habilitation:

• The doctoral degree must have been awarded at least four years ago.
• At least two different courses taught independently in the last four years*, which received positive evaluations
• At least five publications as first or last author in peer-reviewed English-language journals within the last five years*, which were not part of the doctoral dissertation.
• At least one independently and competitively acquired third-party funded project as a co- or sole applicant with a duration of at least one year and at least one 50% staff position for a doctoral student, postdoctoral student, or the applicant’s own position.

* As a general rule (exceptions include, for example, illness, parental leave, or caregiving leave)
