Certified Documentation
Official documents from TU Dresden are certified for a period of two years on completion of an academic degree.
Official documents are those which have been drawn up by TU Dresden. Examples of official documents include the following: bachelor certificates, master documents, diplomas, or graduation documents.

Documents for official certification can be handed in to the service point in theServiceCenterStudies (contact information) at any time during opening hours.
We now offer the option of having your documents sent to you personally, with an appointment (only by email) or by post for certification by the TU Dresden.
You are also welcome to use the service point in the Fritz-Förster-Bau to hand in your documents. After certification, your documents will be returned to you by post.
- Please submit the original and copies.
- Only TU Dresden documents will be certified (issued by TU Dresden) .
- Please enter your email address and postal address in legible form.
Please write us an email and let us know your request.
When handing it in at the service point, please note an email address with the documents.

- All pages of certificates including cover pages must be presented.
- Certified copies can also be obtained for other types of documents; for example, transcripts, notarisations of abstracts, etc. In addition, please be sure to present pages containing information relating to topics, authors and sources.
- It is not permitted to make any alterations to the copies. Alterations include: correcting words or modifying stamps in order to make them easier to read.
- Please note that documents confirming marks, translations, etc. are not notarisations.
- Official documents from previous years are certified by the archive of TU Dresden.
- A maximum of two copies are certified per original document. For examination certificates only one copy can be certified.
- The copy (copies) must be presented along with the original document as there is no photocopier available in the office. Please also note that the signature and stamp on both documents must be clear and easy to read. Copy it like the original.
- Single-sided or double-sided copies of documents can be printed if they are several pages long. Please ensure, however, that the pages are not bound.

For older certificates of TU Dresden - Student Office at Internationalen Hochschulinstituts Zittau (IHI)
For certificates of IHI Zittau - Public Certification at Bürgerbüro of the City of Dresden
If you need more than two copies certified and for any documents not raised by TU Dresden
When?
after making an appointment via email
no official certification possible on Thursdays and Fridays
Appointment requests only via email, which you must confirm.
You will then receive a waiting number with which you will then be called on the screen in waiting area 2.

If it is not possible to show the documents in person, please send them as originals with a maximum of 2 copies to us, this is on your own risk.
The best would be to send it as registered mail because you would receive a legal proof of transmission, liabilities are covered and you can follow track of transmission.
