This April's Alumnus of the Month is the founder and CEO of a Silicon Valley company. Tom Siegel studied Industrial Engineering and Management, specializing in Mechanical Engineering. A scholarship program of the US Embassy in Germany over three decades ago set the course for the Dresden native to make the US his home.. He also earned an MBA from Stanford University and worked for Google in various positions in the field of internet security. A few years ago, he founded his own technology company Trustlab in San Francisco, which is primarily active in the field of IT security and compliance. Last year, he opened a branch in Dresden, for which he is looking forward to working with (student) employees – “software engineers and anyone who is familiar with artificial intelligence,” he specifies.
