Early students start the 2026 summer semester
Frühstudierende starten ins Sommersemester
A total of 52 pupils are starting their early studies at TU Dresden these days. From physics and transport sciences to art history, the early students now have the opportunity to take part in regular courses and get a taste of university life for a semester.
The official kick-off took place on April 13. Key questions were answered: "How do I find my lecture hall?", "Where do I register for tutorials?" or "Can I ask questions in the lecture?" Afterwards, the participants explored the main campus together with the Expedition Campus student team. A new feature this semester is that early students can also take part in our mentoring format Studienbrücke. Now that you are prepared, your early studies can begin!
We wish all early students an exciting and successful semester!
The TU Dresden School Contact Office team would also like to thank all lecturers and faculties who make it possible for early students to participate in their courses.
Early studies at the TU Dresden
The Early Studies program offers pupils from year 9 onwards the opportunity to take part in regular study events. The target group are high-achieving, particularly motivated and academically interested young people. As a format for promoting gifted students, the early study program is also anchored in the Saxon Higher Education Act.
The early study program was introduced at TU Dresden in 2005 - at that time with 9 participants. Since then, both the number of participants and the range of courses on offer have steadily increased.
The Early Studies program is organized by the School Contact Office at TU Dresden.
