TUD ranks among the top universities in the 2026/27 CHE University Ranking for its degree programs in Business Administration and Economics, Industrial Engineering and Management, and Business Information Systems
Student evaluations play an important role in the CHE University Ranking.
TUD Dresden University of Technology stands out in the latest university ranking by the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) with its degree programs in Business Administration and Economics, Industrial Engineering and Management, and Management, and Business Information Systems, which are offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics. TUD is firmly positioned among the top universities nationwide in several of the categories evaluated.
These subject areas score particularly well in the assessment of the overall study conditions, the breadth of the course offerings and the opportunities for individual specialization, the organization of studies, as well as the guidance and support provided during the course of study. The library’s excellent infrastructure also received high praise.
TUD continues to rank among the top universities in terms of support for new students and the duration of studies (completion of degrees within a reasonable time frame).
It also scored highly in the area of research, specifically regarding the number of publications, external funding secured, and doctoral degrees awarded.
CHE Ranking confirms results of other surveys
This positive rating is consistent with other surveys conducted, including the 2024 ranking published by the business magazine WirtschaftsWoche. The German business news magazine surveyed over 500 human resources representatives about the universities from which they prefer to recruit their personnel. TUD’s Diplom degree program in Business Information Systems ranks third in Germany, while the Diplom degree program in Industrial Engineering and Management came in fourth.
