The Bachelor in Business Administration and Economics teaches you the basics of economic analysis and thinking. Initially, you receive an overview of issues and problems in business administration and economics and acquire the methodological skills necessary to analyze them. Building on this broad foundation, you can specialize your studies in many ways and look into topics of business administration, economics, both fields, or other related subjects - just according to your interests!

Specializations
Addressing the entire breadth of the discipline, the Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics offers excellent opportunities to shape your studies according to your interests. The elective area allows for an almost free combination of modules of business administration and economics. You can assign modules flexibly to specializations among which there is plenty choice. The specializations in Business Administration are:

Study Abroad and Double Degree
Consider studying abroad for a semester or longer? No issue, the Faculty of Business and Economics maintains numerous contacts and cooperations with foreign universities for that purpose. Just in the Erasmus program, we partner currently with more than 60 universities. In addition, there are contacts at the level of the faculty and the TU Dresden with universities from virtually all parts of the world.
Of particular interest is the double degree program with the Università degli studi di Trento (Italy). In this program, you typically spend the first four semesters of your study in Dresden. You complete the fifth and sixth semesters in Trento and receive a bachelor's degree from both universities.
Learning agreements and the flexible electives area render the recognition of examinations abroad facile. Financial support is available as well. In addition to the PROMOS scholarships awarded at university level, the Prof. Endriss Award sponsors specifically students of the Faculty of Business and Economics staying abroad.

Graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Economics leaves you with manifold options, irrespective of whether you enter the job market or continue studying.
Job market prospects of graduates are very good and diverse. Which fields of activity fit best depends on individual profiles and specializations chosen. Generally, graduates oriented toward business administration orientation qualify for advanced jobs in private-sector companies or business-related administration. The realm of occupational fields ranges from project management, organizational and personnel development, marketing and market research to purchasing/procurement, logistics, controlling, finance/accounting, energy, environmental and sustainability management, sales/distribution, and management consulting. For graduates with an orientation towards economics, employment offers in state institutions, public administration (e.g. authorities, ministries, consumer centers), central and commercial banks, insurance companies, chambers and associations, as well as national and international organizations.
A bachelor's degree is the first academic degree you can earn. With a bachelor's degree in business administration and economics, you can apply for a four-semester master's program - immediately after the bachelor's degree or later after spending some time in the working world!

Location
At the Faculty of Business and Economics, you are right on the main campus of TU Dresden in Südvorstadt. The chairs, the dean's office, and the study office locate in the Georg-Schumann-Bau and the adjacent Hülße-Bau. A large part of your courses also takes place in these buildings. Like the entire campus, Georg-Schumann-Bau and Hülße-Bau are easy to reach by public transport or bicycle.
