Basics of Academic Reading and Writing in the Summer Term 2026
We all read and write every day. And most of us struggle with it from time to time. Academic writing and reading is more than the reading and writing you learn at school.
In the summer semester 2026, the TUD|Writing Center and the SLUB are once again offering a joint series of events on the basics of academic reading and writing on Wednesdays, 1:00 - 2:30 pm: In lectures with tips and exercises, you can find out, for example
- what type of writer and worker you are,
- how you can organize your writing process well and overcome writer's block
- how you can structure and revise your texts sensibly,
- which reading and writing strategies can help you and
- how you can use literature management and other helpful software.
Every Wednesday, 4th double lesson (13:00 - 14:30), online or FOE room 148, from April 15, 2026 (all dates in the overview below).
You can participate in the individual courses individually, in the entire series in the studium generale and via the supplementary teaching area also with examination performance and the acquisition of credit1.
