The declaration provides information about the processing of personal data for sending the alumni magazine “Kontakt-online” (obligations to provide information pursuant to GDPR).

The data will be processed exclusively for the distribution of the alumni magazine "Kontakt-online" of TU Dresden. The newsletter is distributed multiple times a year, every quarter or so.

What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter a) GDPR (consent) – the use of the service and consent to the associated processing of your personal data are voluntary.
Which personal data will be processed?
We will only use your email address for distributing the newsletter.
How long is personal data stored?
We will continue to process your email address indefinitely unless you withdraw your consent. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Will personal data be transferred to third parties? Who at TU Dresden has access to this data? Will data be stored by third parties?
Unless stipulated otherwise by law or unless you have given your express consent in individual cases, no personal data will be transferred to third parties.
What general rights do data subjects have?

The submission of personal data is voluntary. Consent to the processing of personal data may be revoked at any time pursuant to Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR. The personal data of the person in question will no longer be processed. - Right of access to personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
Data subjects shall have the right to obtain at any time information on the data processed relating to their person and the possible recipients of such data. They are entitled to a reply within one month of the responsible party for the data processing receiving their request for information. - Right to rectification, erasure and restriction (Art. 16 - 18 GDPR)
Data subjects may at any time request TU Dresden to rectify or erase their personal data or to restrict processing. - Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
Data subjects may request that the responsible party send them their personal data in a machine-readable format. Alternatively, they can request the direct transfer of their personal data to a different responsible party, insofar as this is possible. - Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR)
