Grant foundations for gifted students
Thirteen state-funded grant foundations for gifted students have merged to form a group that provides comprehensive individual funding to scholarship holders. In addition to financial support, non-material and personal support is available, where liaison officers serve as mentors.
Visit the websites of the grant foundations for gifted students or contact them directly to find out more about requirements, funding guidelines, and how to apply. Please note that many of these external websites are only available in German. Additional information is also available at www.stipendiumplus.de.

The scholarship to support professionally experienced adults in their first degree program (Aufstiegsstipendium für Berufserfahrene) is a grant from the German federal government geared towards professionals with a vocational education and at least two years of experience in the field. Applications can be submitted prior to taking up studies and must be submitted by the end of the second semester at the latest.
You can find information about funding doctoral or postdoc studies on the Junior Researchers website.
The myStipendium.de scholarship portal is a free service that helps school pupils, undergraduate and graduate students as well as doctoral students to find the right scholarships for them. For the first time in Germany, a matching algorithm searches a database with over 1,600 funding entries to find the scholarships for domestic studies and studying abroad that are suited to each user’s CV. The portal comprises a broad selection of scholarships providing aid in various areas, from helping students afford living expenses to financially supporting stays abroad to grants for academic research.
