Update on the Application Period

Information for Applicants

The application period for the 2026–27 scholarship year closed in mid-July, and all 1,642 applications have already been reviewed. As you begin the new semester, we are in the final stages of selecting the future scholarship recipients for the upcoming funding year.

But what actually happens to my application now?

Your applications have been forwarded to the faculty where you are studying. There, a selection committee reviews the applicants’ documents and compiles a shortlist and a ranking. Subsequently, selection days were held in late September with the sponsors, who participate in the selection process in an advisory capacity.
Selection is based on your academic performance, your commitment, and any obstacles you’ve faced in your life so far. The faculty committee then makes the final decisions on scholarship awards in mid-October, in consultation with the University Executive Board.

When will I find out if I’ve received a scholarship?

You will find out whether you have been awarded a scholarship starting October 26, 2026. We will send a letter to the address provided. We will be able to award 357 scholarships. Due to the large number of applications we receive and the multi-step selection process, we unfortunately cannot send out notifications any sooner.
