One Scholarship. Many Faces.
“The future should not be predicted, but made possible.” (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry): For 15 years, TU Dresden has been awarding the Deutschlandstipendium to outstanding young talents – creating opportunities to develop potential and foster commitment. Thanks to the generous support of numerous donors, more than 2,500 students have already been recognized for their excellent academic achievements, social engagement, and exceptional personal qualities.
The Deutschlandstipendium provides students with 300 euros per month – financed equally by the German federal government and by private sponsors (companies, foundations, private individuals, and more). This creates a strong partnership between the university, sponsors, and students – for education, responsibility, and a shared future.

How does the Deutschlandstipendium work?
More information for applicants The Deutschlandstipendium promotes dedicated students of all disciplines. In addition to success in one's studies, the willingness to accept responsibility or the effective mastering of obstacles in one's life so far play an important role in the awarding process. Both new and current students can apply if they are enrolled
at TU Dresden or have applied for a place to study. The scholarship includes a monthly grant of 300 euros for a full academic year (extension possible). This is because the scholarship is financed jointly by private sponsors (companies, foundations, associations and private individuals) and the Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt.
More information for sponsors The monthly scholarship of 300 euros granted for a period of two semesters and can be extended beyond that. 150 euros are financed by the federal government and 150 euros by private sponsors such as companies, foundations, associations, alumni or other individuals. The university acts as an organizer and as a mediator between the BMFTR, supporters and promoters and is also responsible for fundraising.
