Professional Development and Networking Meetings for STEM Teachers

The energy transition is one of the greatest societal challenges of our time and, at the same time, an ideal topic for sparking students’ interest in STEM subjects. But how do we bring current, real-world research into the classroom? How can we inspire students with real-world scientific questions—while also enhancing our teaching?
TUD Dresden University of Technology and the “Education for Sustainable Development” Resource Center invite teachers from all types of schools to an exciting professional development workshop combined with a networking event:

What can you expect?

• Keynote presentations by two experts from the research community:
  Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christiane Thomas (Head of the Schaufler Chair of Refrigeration, Cryogenics and Compressor Technology) & Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Stephan Schlegel ( Head of the High-Current Technology Division, Chair of Components of Intelligent Energy Networks)
• Lab tour on the TUD campus: Experience firsthand how the university is conducting research on sustainable energy systems—live and on-site
• Network with colleagues and researchers from the region
