Admission requirements
- Proof of a relevant domestic university degree in medicine or dentistry corresponding to at least 300 credits according to the ECTS standard, or a domestic or foreign university degree equivalent
- Participants who are not from an EU country must provide proof of a professional license (dental license) from their country after completing their first professional degree
- Proof of sufficient knowledge of German or English corresponding to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, demonstrated by appropriate language certificates
- Conclusion of a training contract with the International Medical College (IMC)

The application must first be submitted externally to the International Medical College (IMC) at Enrollment at TU Dresden only takes place after approval by the IMC.
General information about the degree program
The Master's program in Advanced General Dental Practice offers comprehensive, scientifically sound, and practice-oriented continuing education for dentists who wish to develop their clinical skills to an advanced level. In cooperation with the International Medical College (MIB), the program combines modern dentistry, evidence-based treatment concepts, and an international academic orientation.
Study contents
The program provides in-depth knowledge in all key areas of general dentistry. These include conservative and restorative dentistry, periodontology, endodontics, prosthetics, implant basics, and preventive and functional therapy approaches. There is a particular focus on structured treatment planning, interdisciplinary thinking, and the safe implementation of complex clinical cases in everyday practice.
Occupational fields
Graduates of the Master's program in Advanced General Dental Practice acquire a recognized academic qualification and, at the same time, develop the professional confidence to run a modern general dental practice at a high scientific, clinical, and patient-oriented level.
