Admission requirements
- Proof of a relevant domestic university degree in medicine or dentistry corresponding to at least 300 credits according to the ECTS standard, or a domestic or foreign university degree equivalent
- Participants who are not from an EU country must provide proof of a professional license (dental license) from their country after completing their first professional degree
- Proof of sufficient knowledge of German or English corresponding to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, demonstrated by appropriate language certificates
- Conclusion of a training contract with the International Medical College (IMC)

International applicants and German applicants with a foreign university entrance qualification are kindly advised to read the requirements for German-language courses.

The application must first be submitted externally to the International Medical College (IMC) at Enrollment at TU Dresden only takes place after approval by the IMC.
General information about the degree program
The Master's program in Periodontology offers in-depth, scientifically sound, and practical continuing education in the field of modern periodontology. In cooperation with the International Medical College (MIB), the program combines current research, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, and clinical excellence in an internationally oriented study concept.
Study contents
The program provides comprehensive knowledge in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases. In addition to systematic periodontal therapy, the focus is on regenerative procedures, soft tissue management, the treatment of peri-implant diseases, and interdisciplinary collaboration with related fields. The close integration of theory and clinical practice enables students to immediately apply the knowledge they have acquired in their everyday professional lives.
