Our team supports employees and students of TU Dresden regarding all aspects of occupational safety and fire protection. In particular, we offer our support to supervisors, safety delegates and fire protection assistants. Our mission is to prevent accidents and to reduce health risks by assuring safe and healthy working and study conditions.

As a research and educational institution but also as an employer TU Dresden has responsibility for future generations. For this reason, the TU Dresden is devoted to issues of environmental protection. The TU Dresden has a validated environmental management system according to EMAS since 2003.

X-rays, radioactivity, particle accelerators and generators, and also electron microscopy are indispensable tools for natural science, technology, and medical research. The mission of the Radiation Protection Office is to make sure that no dangers arise from their use. Furthermore, our office operates the Central Radionuclide Laboratory which is open to all interested scientists. Our own scientific emphasis is the environmental chemistry of the actinide elements.
