ArbeiterKind.de started 15 years ago with a simple website as an information service for students from families without university experience. In the meantime, around 6.000 committed people in 80 local ArbeiterKind.de groups form a strong network for all those who are the first in the family to decide to study at a university or college. With workshops, network meetings and mentoring, prospective students and students can benefit from the experience and network of an entire community.

The great success of ArbeiterKind.de was honored nationwide on May 6, 2023, in ten parallel anniversary celebrations. The regional groups Saxonia and Saxonia-Anhalt were for this cause to guest at the TU Dresden. Among other things, there was an opportunity for an intensive exchange with Dr. Sylvi Bianchin, Head of Diversity Management and the School Contact Point of the TU Dresden, which is carrying out a cooperation project with ArbeiterKind.de-Dresden, funded by the Diversity Incentive Fund.

In Dresden, too, a regional group provides support for those seeking advice and exchange - and is always happy to welcome new committed members.
