200th University Anniversary: Newly established Advisory Board holds its first meeting

In 2028, TUD Dresden University of Technology will celebrate its bicentenary. TUD is commemorating the event by offering a varied lineup of activities across the campus and the broader region. On October 26, 2026, the newly established Advisory Board for the anniversary held its first meeting. Dedicated individuals from TUD and Dresden’s civic community joined representatives from Saxony’s business, cultural, political, and academic sectors. Together, they exchanged views with funding partners and key TUD bodies. They discussed the goals, expectations, potential, and opportunities of the university’s anniversary for TUD, the city, the region, and beyond.

Drawing on their diverse perspectives, the members of the Anniversary Advisory Board will advise and support the university leadership and project management in the ongoing development of the program through regular meetings until 2028, offering suggestions, inspiration, and critical reflection. They will also help raise awareness of the anniversary within their respective networks.
