86 junior doctors honored in the Gerhart Potthoff Building
A total of 161 children and young people embarked on a journey of discovery in the 17th season of the JUNIORDOKTOR program, setting a new record. 86 of them achieved the title of Junior Doctor and were awarded their doctoral hats and certificates at the closing ceremony in the Gerhart Potthoff Building at TU Dresden on September 13, 2025. They proudly accepted these in the presence of friends and families. Representatives of the state capital Dresden as well as members and partners of the "Dresden - City of Science" network honored the graduates' commitment.
The award ceremony marked the end of the 17th season of the JUNIORDOKTOR program. The Dresden program gives students in grades 3 to 12 an insight into science, research and culture. Renowned institutions from science, business, education and culture in Dresden and the surrounding area open their doors to JUNIORDOKTOR participants. TU Dresden was once again involved in the 2024/25 season with many offers, including puzzle tours in the Botanical Garden, a workshop where the young people learned how speech works and an experiment that invited them to discover the invisible world of microorganisms.
Participation in the JUNIORDOKTOR is free of charge. Further information can be found at https://www.juniordoktor.de/
