Architecture Award of the City of Leipzig - two projects were successful
Professors Ansgar and Benedikt Schulz from the Chair of Architectural Design and Construction I of the Facultuy of Architecture were able to convince the jury of the Architecture Award of the City of Leipzig with two new building projects in Leipzig: the Technikum Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum (DBFZ) was awarded the Architecture Prize 2021 and the primary school at Addis-Abeba-Platz was awarded an honourable mention.
The Architecture Award of the City of Leipzig for the promotion of building culture is awarded every two years to architects and clients for architectural achievements of exemplary quality. The award is intended to raise awareness of contemporary and innovative design quality in the built environment and to set standards for the solution of building tasks using contemporary architecture. Special attention is given to projects that provide trend-setting answers to the current issues of Leipzig's urban development and building and planning culture in general, or that are particularly committed to the requirements of sustainable building.
