Big things have small beginnings - innovation project counteracts water scarcity in Indian school
The excellent paper by Ms. Subha Niranjan on "Water scarcity management in an industrial township – the case of Electronics City, Bangalore" was the baseline for the award of a CIPSEM Innovation Fellowship to implement a small but nevertheless impactful project at ELCITA-Electronics City Industrial Township Authority in India after completing the virtual 44th UNEP/UNESCO/BMUV International Postgraduate Course on Environmental Management in July 2021.

These courses take place at TU Dresden since 1977 and have created an active global alumni network. They are made possible by funding from Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), German Environment Agency (UBA), and the support from UN Environment Programme and UNESCO
TU Dresden remains active on issues on water and climate change in the Global South in developing a DAAD Global Water and Climate Adaptation Centre (ABCD-Centre) with partners in South-Asia and Germany, funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
