TU Dresden signs cooperation agreement with the city of San Isidro to promote academic exchange
The city of San Isidro and the TU Dresden have signed an academic exchange agreement to promote and consolidate international cooperation in education and research. One of the key points of the agreement is to promote the mobility of students, PhD students and lecturers in engineering subjects. Scholarships are primarily intended to enable internships, but also final theses and further education opportunities at the TUD, as well as to promote intercultural and professional exchange.
The agreement also aims to carry out engineering projects in cooperation with local authorities and organizations in the Argentine city. Prof. Andrés Lasagni, holder of the Chair for Laser-based Manufacturing at TU Dresden & coordinator of the agreement sees particular potential in supporting the introduction of artificial intelligence in local manufacturing companies.
The agreement was officially signed with the participation of the Mayor of San Isidro, Gustavo Posse, and the Director General of Community Integration, Delfín Beccar Varela. Virtual participants from Dresden were Prof. Andrés Lasagni, Prof. Ronald Tetzlaff, Chief Officer Technology Transfer and Internationalization at the TUD (CTIO), Peter Rosenbaum, Head of the International Office, Claudia Schönherr from the International Internship Center LEOSACHSEN and the translator and internship coordinator Juan Manuel Barragan Fuentelsaz, also from the LEOSACHSEN Center.
