Three TUD students awarded the 2025 Georg Helm Prize
Prof. Niels Modler, Jessica Flecks, Dr. Daniel Eisele, Sven Spielvogel
The Georg Helm Prize is awarded annually to three outstanding scientific papers written by students at TUD Dresden University of Technology. The award is presented by the Association for the Promotion of Students at TUD Dresden University of Technology and honors outstanding work from all faculties and Central Units.
The 31st Georg Helm Prize was awarded in the festive atmosphere of the association's clubhouse. The event was hosted by Sven Spielvogel, Chairman of the Board of the Association for the Promotion of Students at TU Dresden e.V. Prof. Niels Modler, Vice-Rector Academic Affairs at TUD , gave the welcoming address.
The 2025 award winners were:
- Dr. rer. nat. Pedro Monteiro Cônsoli, Faculty of Physics, dissertation “Influence of disorder, fluctuations, and reduced symmetries on frustrated many-body systems”
- Dr. rer. nat. Daniel Eisele, Faculty of Psychology, dissertation “Effects of Novel eHMIs on Pedestrian-Vehicle Interactions”
- Jessica Flecks, Faculty of Education, State Examination thesis “School Development Capacity. Perspectives and resources for school development in a secondary school in Eastern Saxony"
The Georg Helm Prize was established by the association to show its appreciation for early-career researchers and support young people in their academic careers.
