Every vote counts – Vote-O-Meter and and election checklists can help you compare party programs for the state elections
On September 1, 2024, the 8th Saxon state parliament will be elected – an invaluable opportunity to have your say in the future of the Free State of Saxony. For this reason, TU Dresden is supporting the #GoVote campaign (#GehWählen) of the Saxon Rectors' Conference (LRK), the Saxon Student Unions and the Saxon universities organized in the LRK. We are calling on our members and associates residing in Saxony to make use of their right to vote and cast their ballot.
Those of you who will not be able to cast your vote in person on September 1 can do so by postal vote. This way, you can vote before the actual election day at any time and from any place, provided you apply for the voting documents in advance at the postal voting office of the city or municipal administration of your main place of residence.
Background: #GehWählen
The aim of the #GoVote campaign is to encourage younger people to use their right to vote and motivate them to actively participate in democracy. In recent years, voter turnout among voters under the age of 30 has been particularly low compared to older population groups.
