STEM scholarship holders 2024: Ceremonial presentation of the certificates
On November 11, 2024, the certificates were awarded to this year's STEM scholarship holders of the Gesellschaft von Freunden und Förderern der TU Dresden e. V. (GFF) in the ceremonial hall of the University Executive Board. The award was presented by Vice-Rector Academic Affairs Professor Michael Kobel and the Managing Director of the Society of Friends and Sponsors, Dr. Undine Krätzig.
This is the sixth time that the award has been presented and is aimed exclusively at first-year students. This makes it a special feature of the scholarships on offer. In addition to high school graduates from MINT-EC schools, mint-friendly schools and digital schools, graduates from TU Dresden cooperation schools were also able to apply this year.
The jury selected 11 scholarship holders from the large number of applications. Thanks to the participation of the Mollier-Haus Foundation, 3 additional scholarships were awarded. In addition to monthly financial support, the first-year students can expect to participate in the Buddy Program.
This year's scholarship holders will begin their studies in
- physics
- Computer science
- Mechanical Engineering
- Molecular Biology and Biotechnology
