cfaed offers a new Industry-Liaison-Program
The Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden (cfaed) has
initiated a new „Industry Liaison Program“ for interested
technology companies. Industry partners will be offered the
latest research results of the TUD-Cluster of Excellence.
Moreover, they have will have the opportunity to contact
principal investigators as well as young scientific talents of
cfaed. Annual contributions depend on company size, ranging
from € 800 to €120,000.
The new Cluster of Excellence for electronics of the Technische
Universitaet Dresden comprises eleven research institutes in
Saxony. Further members are the Technische Universitaet
Chemnitz, two Max Planck Institutes, two Fraunhofer Institutes,
two Leibniz institutes and the Helmholtz-Research Center
Dresden-Rossendorf. About 250 scientists are working in nine
different research paths to search for completely new
technologies for electronic information processing. The
research areas span from the traditional silicon-based
microchips to new materials like carbon-nanotubes, D-N-A
–Origami as well as chemical processors and organic
electronics. Furthermore, computer data processing and the
improvement of energy efficiency of IT-operations are being
investigated.
The Center for Advancing Electronics Dresden (cfaed) of the
Technische Universität Dresden is at the exhibition of
semiconductor industry, “SEMICON Europa”, from 8 to 10 October
2013, at Messe Dresden, Hall 2, booth 2.299.
