Islands of Minds - Art Education students will present their final projects starting on July 17
On July 17, 2025, there will be the opening of the exam exhibition Islands of Minds, curated by the Art Education department at TUD's Institute of Art and Music. The exhibition attempts to visualize what is happening on our inner islands. To this end, 25 students in teacher training have explored a wide range of topics in the form of sculptures, paintings, and media-based works, inviting visitors to reveal the unexpected connections between them.
The idea of a lonely island has been explored numerous times in Hollywood films and thought experiments. But don't we all live on our very own mental islands anyway? Are we even able to change our own perspective? And if so, how can we convey this perspective to the outside world in order to establish connections with others in this vast ocean?
