Registration for the 2026/27 winter semester of the Dresden Senior Academy (DSA) opens on September 30, 2026. Residents of Dresden and the surrounding area can look forward to a program featuring over exciting 240 events. The program will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), with offerings such as “The little AI driver’s license,” “AI and the German language,” and “Your cell phone as an AI hub”.
The DSA will once again emphasize diversity and quality in its program design for the upcoming semester. Events covering topics ranging from nature, science and technology, medicine and wellness, society and politics, and history to art and culture offer a broad spectrum of educational opportunities. Topics range from international issues such as “Are we losing the battle for raw materials?” to regional topics like “Current research on tin mining in the Ore Mountains”, and local topics such as “A walk along Dresden’s historic city wall.” The program also includes guided tours, for example of the Moritzburg State Stud, the Radeberg Bodyworks, and Dresden’s historic district heating tunnel.
One-day educational trips include destinations such as Weimar and the Via Sacra, focusing on art, history, and religion along the border with Bohemia. Multi-day trips to Andalusia, Paris, Bonn, and the Ruhr region are also planned. In addition, seniors can pursue selected hobbies in the various interest groups, including digital image editing and digital communication, as well as painting and drawing.
