Virtual Uni-day part 3
TUD to showcase School of Humanities and Social Sciences along with Teacher Training Degrees
Everything is different in corona times: In 2020, the big information day for prospective students will take place online. After the general presentation on 16th May, it is now the turn of the individual academic disciplines at TU Dresden to introduce themselves.
On 13th June 2020, the degree programmes of the Humanities and Social Sciences and the teacher training courses will present themselves online.
Starting at 9:30am, a wide range of information and activities regarding these degree programmes at TUD will be available. The focus will be on subject-specific information. In addition, there will be information available on important topics such as study requirements, application and deadlines, numerus clausus (degrees with restricted admission), study financing, living, stay abroad and many other topics.
Competent contact persons, academic advisors, and students will answer questions and provide support in making the right study decision, e.g. on Instagram. On this platform, students from linguistics, literature and cultural studies, political science and from teacher training courses will report live about their own study experiences. A media and communication science alumnus will explain interesting facts about studies, internships and side jobs in the media industry. Prospective students may either actively participate and ask questions or just watch. Each round of questions lasts about 30 minutes and takes place on TU Dresden's central Instagram channel.
On 20th June, last but no least, there will be the Uni-day for the School of Engineering Sciences and the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The varied and informative programme will start at 9:30am.
