The current issue of the alumni magazine "Kontakt-online" is dedicated to the tenth anniversary of excellence of TU Dresden. In November 2012, TUD began receiving funding as one of only eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany - a milestone in the university's history. TUD has become even more interdisciplinary and international. The spectrum of excellence ranges from the Clusters of Excellence and the DRESDEN-concept research alliance to the top-class Emerging Fields. There will also be excellence in moving pictures - a film produced on the occasion of the anniversary shows passionate TUD experts in search of knowledge for life.

Plus: TU Dresden has been a member of Santander Universities for many years. This means that alumni can also take advantage of scholarships for continuing education – two of which are presented here. One particular highlight: scholarships for a five-day stay in Valencia, Spain.

For the first time, the magazine is also published in English.
