As a basis for systematic and professionalized equality work, the Equality Concept analyses gender-specific and other inequalities and derives measures to promote equality at TU Dresden. The focus is on academic staff.

The situation of female employees in technology and administration is given special attention for the first time. The document was developed in a broad participatory process and adopted by the University Executive Board on December 10, 2019.

The Saxon Women's Promotion Act (SächsFFG) on which this plan is based has been replaced by the Act on Equality of Women and Men in the Public Service in the Free State of Saxony (SächsGleiG) with effect from 01.01.2024. Guide to gender-sensitive appointment procedures
Measure 1.3 of the Equality Concept 2018 has been implemented with the now accessible guide "Gender-sensitive appointment procedures". The document was recommended for introduction in 2019 by the members of the Standing Committee of the Senate on Gender Equality and Diversity Management. The guidelines provide recommendations for continuous reflection on gender and diversity aspects during the appointment process. It serves to qualitatively strengthen the field of applicants and thus sustainably supports the diversity of research perspectives and teaching potential at TU Dresden. -
Guidelines for gender-inclusive communication
The binding guideline on gender-inclusive communication in language and images "Dem Geschlecht gerecht" provides important insights into gender-inclusive and diversity-sensitive communication at our university.
