PROMOTIONAL MEASURES
Women's Advancement Plan
Gender equality is understood as a quality feature and cross-sectional task at the TU Dresden. This commitment is also the
framework for the Women's Advancement Plan of the TU Dresden, which was last adopted in 2014 and is available in its update for the period 2019-2023.

The Gender Equality Office is currently working on three focal points in the implementation of the Women's Advancement Plan:
Advancement of individuals who are single parents
Students and employees who are single parents carry a very large responsibility that they cannot (no longer) share with anyone else on a permanent basis, or do not want to share because of a conscious decision. This takes a lot of courage and energy, especially since the childcare infrastructure in Germany and also Saxony still ranks far behind self-evident standards in other European countries such as Denmark, Sweden and France.
Since 2017 there is a close cooperation with the Single Parent Network Dresden.
For example, together with numerous cooperation partners in the network, the Gender Equality Office participated in the organization and implementation of two trade fairs in 2021 and 2022.
Promotion of employees in technology and administration
The Gender Equality Office has been involved since 2020 in the work of the Commission for Female Employees in Technology and Administration within the Federal Conference of Gender Equality and Women's Representatives at Universities e.V.
One focus of the cooperation is the exchange of expertise and best practice to make visible and improve the situation of secretarial staff and to support them through networking formats.
pay equity
In this context, pay equity is not only an urgent challenge as a broadly shared aspiration, but also for the Gender Equality Office as a measure anchored in the 2018 Equality Concept (Measure 7.3) and the 2019-2023 Women's Promotion Plan (Section 5).
Thus, the Gender Equality Office hosted a forum on 03.03.2022 in preparation for the nationwide Equal Pay Day on 07.03.2022, where the experts on the implementation of a "pay check" in universities from the HTW Berlin were guests and presented in their input the instrument and the possibilities of a flexible interpretation of the collective agreement.
