Export control at the TUD
Export control at the TUD Dresden University of Technology
University excellence is inextricably linked to compliance with all legal regulations. This also includes export control law, which regulates matters relating to foreign countries (e.g. business trips, export of goods and scientific services) and imposes restrictions where necessary. The TUD Dresden University of Technology considers adherence to these regulations to be an essential part of its compliance standards and for the fundamental preservation of the freedom of research and teaching.
However, export control law does not apply to all scientific and research-related activities, but only to specific individual cases. The identification and assessment of such cases is a shared responsibility of all those involved.
Therefore, all members and affiliates of TUD contribute to compliance with export control law within the scope of their respective activities and thus ensure compliance with export control requirements.
Compliance with export control regulations protects all actors/participants against individual and institutional (criminal) consequences (e.g. fines, loss of reputation). The offers and measures in the area of "Export Control" contribute overall to minimizing these risks for associate members of TU Dresden.
Person responsible for exports: Dipl.-Ök. Jan Gerken, Chancellor of TU Dresden
