TU Dresden’s internal auditing service has an independent monitoring function and works according to a work plan approved by the Chancellor. In addition, it performs its tasks independently and free of instructions by others. This responsibility extends to the entire university with exception of the Faculty of Medicine.
Main tasks of Unit Internal Audit
- Detection of risk potentials
- Assistance in uncovering fraudulent activities as well as corruption prevention
- Obligation to audit third-party donors (in particular federal funds, EU funds)
- Cash desk supervision
- Other regularity, expediency and performance audits
Unit Internal Audit is also responsible for the organization of vocational education for administrative officers.
