System Accreditation
After the implementation of a quality management system for teaching and learning the rectorate decided to initiate the system accreditation procedure. Subject matter of the system accreditation is the internal quality assurance in the field of teaching and learning. The structures and procedures that are relevant for teaching and learning are assessed in consideration of the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ESG), the guidelines of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK) and the criteria of the Accreditation Council being applied. The aim is to achieve the quality objectives and to ensure a high quality of the study programmes.
From 2012 to 2015 the TU Dresden was the subject matter of the system accreditation procedure. The positive system accreditation attests the TU Dresden that its quality assurance system in the field of teaching and learning is appropriate to achieve the quality objectives and to ensure the quality standards of its study programmes. Study programmes set up as specified by the accredited system or study programmes that already have been the subject matter of an internal quality assurance as specified by the accredited system are accredited.
