Lecture on ecological sustainability
Lecture on ecological sustainability
Climate crisis: drivers, impacts, solutions
Since the winter semester 2021/22, the basic lecture series on ecological sustainability will be held at TU Dresden. Organised by students, this lecture series offers the opportunity to deal with ecological sustainability from different perspectives.
The lecture is designed to reach as many people as possible. This means that high school students, first-year students, students in higher semesters as well as employees with or without prior knowledge are invited to attend. The content is presented in a way that is easy to understand. The basic lecture differs in this respect from the thematically more in-depth known environmental ring lectures.
Students have the opportunity to link basic content with topics specific to their course of study. Since the topic is also highly relevant in the university context, students can receive credits for successful participation (Sitzschein, 1ECTS). In addition, the lecture can also be completed with an exam and brought into the curriculum as a free elective course (3ECTS). Furthermore, it is possible to have this course credited for the Studium Oecologicum.
The lecture should be accessible to as many people as possible without barriers, which is why we are considering making present lectures digitally accessible in a synchronous hybrid or asynchronous recorded form. The lecture will be mostly held in German.
It doesn't matter if you have already dealt with the topic in-depth or if the field is relatively new to you. Either way: Everyone is invited to learn new things in an interdisciplinary way about what is probably the most urgent topic of our time!
Venue and time
The lecture will take place every Thursday from 07.04.2022 in the 6th double lesson (4:40 - 6:10 pm) at HSZ and hybrid synchronously online. On-site participation is only possible after prior registration, as there is only limited seating capacity.
Registration
Please register for the lecture via OPAL or the registration form. For this event, it would be useful to create an account on OPAL so that we can keep in touch with you. (OPAL is open to everyone.) In addition, registration for participation in the live events will be handled on-site at the campus.
