Discover the world of engineering - women are shaping the future! Register now!
From August 4 to September 19, 2025, the TUD Dresden University of Technology is once again inviting young women to take part in the Engineering tryING program. The aim is to give interested female high school graduates a practical insight into the world of engineering - before they start their studies.
In exciting workshops, the participants discover technologies of the future, meet female scientists and exchange ideas with female students who are already studying engineering. Excursions to companies in the region give them an insight into the everyday working life of a female engineer before they start their studies. In addition, the math pre-course is part of tryING, so that the future female students can then start their studies at TUD in the best possible way.
For the participants, tryING was a valuable decision-making aid and an enriching experience. They gained insights into their studies and careers and felt well prepared for the start of their studies.
Hope, a former participant, puts it in a nutshell: "Thanks to the wide range of activities on offer, you can familiarize yourself with your studies and get a taste of your future professional life. It is a great advantage in the transition from high school graduate to student and helps to lose the fear that is often associated with studying engineering. In addition, you make contacts and friendships that will stay with you in the long term."
